Assignment 3
Color Photography & Photo Editing
In this assignment, we are required to submit 7 pre-edit images and 7 post-edit images using editing software like Photoshop or Lightroom.
Objectives :
1. Student will understand the basic operation digital cameras and the process of creating photographic images
2. Student will be able to shoot and produce photographs applying the basic elements of good composition and lighting.
3. Student will understand the manner photographic images are used in different areas of the visual communications industry.
4. Student will understand the basic skills in the photo edition process before producing photos for the final outcomes.
FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT
I used Adobe Lightroom to edit all the photos. Most of the images I took at the park nearby my house, while the rest of them are old photos.

REFLECTION
Although it is supposed to be a very quick assignment, I still spent some time to take pictures outdoor to practice capturing good compositional photographs with suitable lightning. While taking pictures, I realized that I actually applied the knowledge and techniques that I have learnt in class to improve my photography. I also found that I always keen to take beautiful scenery or still life photos. I always indulge in the beauty of calmness in an object like a tree, or a building.
For the photo editing, I watched several YouTube tutorials provided by Mr. Paul and Ms. Sabrina, and was impressed by the editing techniques applied by the professionals. I also did extra research because I wanted to learn different editing techniques. After that, I tried using Adobe Lightroom to adjust the composition and the color balancing of my photos. I tried not to overuse it, or else the image will lose its natural essence. It was fun and satisfying to produce each and every photograph. If time permits, I will tryout other editing software and compare the final outcome. I also hope to find my own style for the color editing in the future.
