When I received this assignment, my first thought is "Ah...it's MCO again, I cannot go outside to take pictures!" If I can go outdoors, I'll definitely visit the old streets such as Tan Hiok Nee Heritage Walk or Muar street in Johor. Since I am not allow to do so, I decided to look back to my travel experience.

 

I chose Taiwan trip because it means a lot for me. Not only it was my first time taking a flight, but also the longest trip I had ever been on. So, I am eager to share my travel story in this assignment. It took me awhile to rearrange the photos and figured them out where did I took them.

 

In this assignment, I learnt to arrange a photo series and express my feelings through them. I found it a bit challenging for me at first because I seldom pay attention on this kind of photograph. Slowly, I grasped the techniques to edit a nice black and white photo from the demonstration of Mr. Paul during class. I also learnt to create consistency of mood delivered by each photograph.

 

In my photo series, I highlighted some amazing tourist attractions and described my feelings when I was there. I really love Taiwan and if I have the chance, I will definitely visit again and again! Overall, I enjoyed this assignment, not only it brings back my travel memories, but also trained my emotional expression through essay and black and white photographs.
